Juliet was born in Christchurch and grew up in Amuri in North Canterbury. She was educated in Timaru in the South Island and now resides in Hawkes Bay.

Juliet has achieved a BA (Maori Studies); Graduate Diploma Teaching and Diploma Art and Creativity (Hons)

Her art is influenced by her dual Pakeha and Maori heritage. Juliet has exhibited throughout New Zealand, in Auckland, Wellington, Wairarapa, Hawkes Bay and Queenstown, mainly working in oils and mixed media on canvas.

All of Juliet’s work expresses exuberance and a refusal to be dominated by any one convention. She is influenced by many past and present artists with avant-garde milieu. Her work has a dynamism enthralled with invention through a sense of wairua (spirit) contrasted with contemporary and abstract forms.
