Jewellery Designer

“I am a part-time artist and creative Jewellery designer. I began making jewellery to support my outrigger canoe racing in Hawaii in 2002. When I returned to New Zealand I continued making jewellery and developed my designs into various ranges. I settled in Raglan for 9 years and built my business there.

I am originally from a little town in the South Island called Rangiora. I was born in Christchurch and my Maori affiliations are Kai Tahu, Kati Mamoe, Waitaha and Nga Puhi.

I attended Fashion Design School for one year at Christchurch Polytechnic. I then studied Sculpture, Maori language and history at the University of Canterbury and attained a Bachelor of Arts.”
