Artist Profile: Phil Newbury

Glass Artist

Phil has been working with glass since 1967. A self taught glass artist since 1979 he has gained years of experience through studying architecture and design with german designers such as Johannes Schrieter, Jocham Pogensen and Joachim Klos. Phil has an extensive history of working on building restorations and tutoring and has exhibited in many solo and group shows around New Zealand. His works are in many private and public collections both local and international and his commissioned works can be seen in buildings throughout New Zealand.
