My grandparents and great grandparents were survivors of the colonial land wars. We were raised on the history of our people as handed down by oral culture. We learned our culture by living it and watching the changes as we intermarried across tribes and cultures and became friends. The only future we need is one where our children and grandchildren can live in peace and harmony with all cultures. That was the wish of my parents and their parents.
