I am a Wellington based Tā Moko and Multi Medium artist of Muaūpoko/Ngai Tara descent. I was always passionate about art, kapa haka and te reo at school which led me to study Mātauranga Māori at Te Wānanga o Raukawa, coming through the undergraduate program and eventually completing my Master’s Degree in 2010.
I then went on to study adult education and whakairo(carving) in 2011-2012, and have since focused my energy on my art practice and tā moko while travelling to and working in various towns and cities throughout New Zealand, Australia, Rarotonga and Tāhiti.
In 2016 I recently completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Māori Visual Arts through Massey University and for the past three years I have delivered the Diploma in Māori Visual Arts at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.
